The NPL Victoria Pod

An incredible coaching bromance emerges | Late goals galore | Teenage talent take over VPL1

Lachie Flannigan, Nick D'Urbano & Josh Parish

The business end of the season is fast approaching and 2024's dose of Victorian footballing drama is showing no signs of slowing down.

The top flight gave the concept of "Fergie time" a run for its money with a slew of last minute goals - headlined by another late equaliser for Melbourne Knights against Avondale.

Where there wasn't late goals there was off-pitch drama to fill the void, not least at Hume City Stadium where David Chick and Esteban Quintas staked their claim for the best bromance in NPL Victoria - bear hugs and all!

Elsewhere, young stars stole the show left, right and centre as the likes of Abel Walatee (Western United), Phin Harbinson (Bulleeen) and Sonny Brimmer (North Geelong) all chipped in with massive performances - while FC Melbourne Srbija's huge win against Brunswick Juventus headlined the results in VPL2.
