Massive crowds, upsets, and an NPL Victoria team in the Australia Cup final for the first time: it was a good weekend to be a football fan in Melbourne. 

Josh, Lachie and Ivka dive deep into Dandenong Thunder's failure to launch at home to Hajduk. Why can't Adam Piddick's teams seem to win in the finals? And could Dandy City become the first 6th-placed team to make it to the big dance? 

Preston brought 2,000 raucous supporters to Jack Edwards Reserve, and banished the ghosts of their infamous 4-0 defeat in Round 20 by knocking out the reigning champions. With just one goal conceded in seven games, could a watertight defence be Preston's path to glory? 

Meanwhile, Auckland becomes Heidelberg's latest A-League victim, while Avondale and Luca Tevere come up just short against the Newcastle Jets.
